An install of Suse 8.2 on a system running an Asus P4P800 motherboard and
using a Seagate 120Gb SATA drive freezes a few seconds into the install.
There are no errors indicated on the screen, it just stops with the last
message displayed on screen being "hde: ST3120026AS, ATA disk drive". I've
tried ordinary install, safe install, and manual install with the same
freeze every time.

There's nothing wrong with the hardware as WinXP runs on it without any
problem and I also booted off an install CD of Mandrake 9.2RC2 and got a
good deal further into the install without any problem.
