Ethereal seems to have a security check so it is not possible to run the
program using 'sudo' or setting the UID flag (chmod u+s ethereal). The only
way I have found to run Ethereal is as root. If you are logged in as a
user, you can run 'sux -' in a terminal emulator and then
/usr/X11R6/bin/ethereal.
