What is the cause of ‘bad magic’ errors whilst installing linux.
I’m installing off a local ftp server, and I either get just past the
initial image file or part way into the packages installation, and I
start to get lots, every other file, of ‘bad magic’ errors.
Is it anything to do with David Blain?
This happens with wither suse( ftp) or redhat (local cdrom) so I think
it must be something local (either mem, disk or bus)
Thanks
