This service always starts on boot with SuSe 8.2 (not sure whether RPC
stands for Remote Procedure Call) or indeed if I need it.
I have 2 computers, a labtop and a desktop both run Suse8.2 and are
networked via a router with IP's of 192.168.254.197/198 respectively and
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
I have just set up one computer home directory to be shared using NFS with
the details above.
Is the RPC daemon necessary in my situation? Thanks in advance.
