I hate this modem!!
I have had trouble over a long period of trying sooooo many different
methods to get this beast to work reliably. Eventually, with 8.2 (like
yourself) I got it to work after jumping on one leg and sticking a wet
finger in my ear. I have heard it's the broadband equiv. of a winmodem
- yuk!
But now I use a dedicated broadband modem/router. This is just a
breeze and it doesn't even care (or know) what OS you decide to use.
To be positive though. This cursed modem has spawned several websites
dedicated to its operation in Linux. Just tedious stuff though isn't
it?
Bit of an unhelpful post I know - but that's my $0.02
Best of luck!
