printing issues from GV/pdf

Morning all!

I just reinstalled SuSE 7.2 (yeah... yeah.. I know...) and I am having
problems printing from Adobe Reader, xgv, and other postscript-type
readers. Also, if I try to print from a website using ANY of the
included browsers, nothing gets spooled and the printer queue remains
empty.

Any short-tern fixes that are out there? A google search turned up
nothing.
