I was running 8.2 with no problems at all. I have a Samsung 1210 laser
printer and a Canon s520 for photos. Both connect by USB.
I did a clean install of 9.0 and cannot get printers to work. At first
Yast said there were 2 printers with the same name and I should add them
manually but there were no printer choices shown in the window and when I
clicked "add printer" Yast would just crash.
I unplugged the Canon and Yast then say and correctly configured the
Samsung.
The test page printed perfectly. No other app apart from Yast will print.
The print icon appears when I try to print from Kmail and Open Office and
the job is shown in the monitor but nothing gets to the machine itself.
Redhat 9, Mandrake 9.2 and SuSE 8.2 never had any problem...anyone got any
ideas?
