I can confirm RTCW runs fine on Suse, had no prob installing here.

Also there are now linux versions of NWN, Army Ops, and my favourite Enemy
territory which is free, based on RTCW but this is not needed and is simple
to install and just works :) there are more such as Max payne and the sims
but have not got these so don`t know the results.
And with wine you can run stuff like H/L, C/S, SOF2 and quite a few others the
only prob there is that as dx support has to be hacked it will always be
behind the latest games.
