I have several USB devices that I connect to my laptop. I was very
impressed that SuSE 8.1 recognised them all and that they worked
immediately.
However, I often unplug these items (ie: my flash card reader) and then
add them again late. Here I find that my system seems to get confused
and either no longer recognises the device or declares it twice (My
CD-RW now has two mount points). When I look in the system tools I see
these items once declared correctly and once with either an error icon
or with a 'configuration spanner'.
This is a bit irriating so I was wondering if there is a way to 'clean
it up' or even to override plug and play and declare everything as static?
Any tips or addresses of useful documentation would be a great help.
Regards,
Alan Searle.
