Help - whats going on here??
SuSE 9.0. I've been 'losing' emails. I see them on the ISP's webmail server. I try
to get them by KMail or Evolution. I get the error message
< Unable to connect to POP server pop3.lineone.net
Error sending password:-
ERR(/(??can't read my own writing/TEMP) mailbox locked by other
server...........................>
When Evolution or KMail finally let me in there's only new emails. All of the stuff
I saw on the webmail server has gone. I began to suspect something in the machine
was downloading the emails first. Any mail that comes while I'm on line with the
email clients active is filed in the 'inbox' as expected.
Searched the whole machine for email messages and came up with the file
</var/spool/mail/rod> This is 4.5 Mb and goes to 1592 pages in the Open Office
word processor. It looks likely to contain all of my 'lost' mail.
Can somebody tell me what's happening here and point me in the right direction to
fix it please.
