SuSE 9.0 rear sound output

Hi!

I've got a SBlive!Player card. I'd like to use not only the front
output, but the rear output also (as surround) on my soundcard.

I'm running SuSE 9.0. I've heard that I can do this by adjusting up the
alt pcm control in the mixer. Kamix is the mixer that follows this
distro. I can't find this option here.

Does anyone have any tips?
