Do you mean:

1. SUSE 8.0 doesn't detect your LAN chip?

Or

2. SUSE detects your LAN chip, but you can't get internet working?

If 1.), you might try SUSE 9.0. Being newer than 8.0, this should recognize
newer LAN chips.

If 2.), you need to give us more info. Log in as root and record the output
of "ifconfig" and "route" - then post that info here. Can you try using
"ping" to test the link to the D-Link router?
