Hi everyone
I'm posting this from Windows because my SuSE 9 KDE 3.1 installation is
suddenly unusable. It was running fine yestersay but earlier, for no
apparent reason, it froze - locked solid - and the only thing to do was push
and hold the power button to shut down. When I booted back into SuSE, it
locked again after about 3 minutes. Both occasions I was connected to the
Internet, running KNode, KMail and a few Konqueror windows (BTW my modem
hangs up about 30 seconds after the machine freezes). The third time, it
froze before I opened anything. I restarted and went for a coffee. When I
came back to the machine, it was locked on the Matrix screensaver.
I haven't changed anything since yesterday.
I'm a Linux newbie. I have absolutely no idea how to fix this. What can I
do?
John
