Hi,
I downloaded the complete 9.0 install tree to my local ftp server.
I can see that everything is configured correctly, because when I look
at the (verbose) ftp logs on the server, I can see the incoming commands.
But at the installing end, I get a big red ERROR popup in YAST that says
"Error in the install."
When I look at the ftp log on the server, this is what I see. It
successfully gets "9.0/boot/root". Then it gets "9.0/content". Then it
tries to get "9.0/part.info", but failes, because there is no such file, and
then tries and fails to get "9.0/driverupdate", again because there is no
such file.
Then there is no further ftp activity (apparently the missing
file(s) constitute a fatal error). But those files aren't on any of the
mirrors I've checked (not even at ftp.mirror.ac.uk, which was so highly
recommended earlier in this thread.)
Can anyone tell me how to get around this problem?
TIA - Ed
