hi
this might be a trivial question, but i've been on this for days and
it starts sucking...
i'm running suse 8.2 and haven't been able to get javac to work so i
decided to remove all java stuff and reinstall the newest versions. i
downloaded both the j2sdk and jre from java.sun.com as .rpm.
konqueroer's kget downloads them to some destination like
/.kde/share/apps/tmp [why?] and after finishing, when i get asked
where i want it to be stored, tells me something like "error: file.rpm
doesn't exist". at the same time the downloaded package simply
disappears from the destination mentioned above. i got into the kgetrc
file where i found a truly weird option "RemoveOnSuccess=true", which
i changed to false, but to no success.
open for suggestions.
i need my cup o' java.
thanks
