My SUSE 8.2 upgarde experience is disastrous. Even after recompiling
the Nvidia stuff using their package and utility, while I can get
the machine to boot... it crashes after a VERY short period of
time... totally unusable. I'm NOT upgrading anymore of my kernels
until I can figure out a workaround. Switching to the "nv"
drivers allows 2D stuff to work... just can't get any 3D
accelerated stuff enabled with any stability.

Something is terribly wrong with the latest patch.
