Fair comment... but we're not just talking about pinging out from the box...
I can also ping the server from a windoze and another linux client... I can
ping both lan cards on the server, and both lan cards on the server
respond... There has been no special default routes created on either of the
two clients - when logged on to 192.168.1.32 (a windoze client) and I ping
from there to 192.168.1.2, I get a response from 192.168.1.2... When, from
the same client, I also ping 192.168.1.3, I also get a response... yet only
192.168.1.2 had a cable.... thus... I should *not* have the network card
with 192.168.1.2 respond to ping requests for 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3...
but somehow... they do...
Anyway... to avoid confusion, I have disabled the second network card... I
didn't want to depend on something that shouldn't be if you see what I
mean...
