I tend to disagree with your location statement.
Very black and white: An idling server, with 100GBit of free bandwith, in
Australia, is MUCH faster than a clogged up server, with no bandwith, 1 Km
away from you own computer!
Chose download servers based on: content, time of day AND prior experience.
