I need to upgrade to use my Christmas present, a DVD burner and the new K3b
requires KDE 3.1.4
So I downloaded all the base KDE rpm's and have come up with this failed
dependency
MTF@linux:~/base> rpm -Uvh --test *.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
qt3 = 3.1.1 is needed by qt3-non-mt-3.1.1-65
As you can see I ran this from the command line
The base includes qt3-3.2.3-0.i586.rpm should that not be all that I
require??
Should I be using YAST?? (I just bought 8.2 and love it, I am a former
RedHat user and I'm used to upgrading KDE using the command line)
Should I go to RPM find and get the QT3 = 3.1.1 rpm??
Thanks for your help ...
I am also upgrading all the applications 150 files of them, again should I
be using the command line or YAST??
YAST has an option to point it to a directory on the local hard drive is
that all I have to do??
I've read the manual and am still not positive on the best method.
Thanks
Mike
