Hello

I installed vsftpd. Easy to set up and runs fine. Running in stand-alone
(not in xinetd) mode.

I have anonymous and local users set up. The local users end up in the
home directory from the /etc/profile file, not the local_root directory in
the vsftpd_conf file. Worse, the local users (those logging in with a
login and password, user ftp, shell /bin/false) are able to change
directories downwards out of where I put them all the way down to root.

Isn't there some way to let them travel up the path starting in their home
directory, but not backwards? And any idea why local_root didn't work.

Thanks

Harry
