Exactly. If you lived in Quebec, you'd want to speak French the way
they speak it, Paris ditto. But in either case, you don't want to
speak an Americanized version of French.

An exception to this might be Texas Panhandle English which is
completely incomprehensible to everyone including the native speakers,
I think...:-)
