Crossover requires that you HAVE a copy of MS Office to install.
IMHO, Office 2000 is a good choice... though I've used Office 97
and Office XP as well with Crossover Office. I prefer
Office 2000, because Office XP "phone home" much like the
XP OS does... and Office 97 still has a few quirks... especially
if you just have to run Outlook (which I don't recommend, but
the Office 2000 one does seem to work well).
