No, but you would want to make sure that the path to wp8 in the new
install comes before the path to it's current install, in your PATH
environment variable.

You want to make sure after you delete the wp8 dir, that the wp8
program is deleted and any libs. This is simpler than Windows, because
there is no registry to muck about with and all you have to know are
the names of the executable and all libraries. Sometimes, there will
be an uninstall program with it. Of course, you can delete the program
itself and just leave the libs -- they generally won't hurt anything
being there.

However, if you installed it via an RPM then uninstalling it will
remove all files that were installed.
