USB2 / Firewire PCI adapter

Hi...

I'm trying to get an USB2 / Firewire adapter installed on my old IBM
computer. So far i have tried VIA VT6202-B, and this on crashes my
computer. Suse will not boot when i insert the card.

Have anyone tried any other type of cards with success?
