From the kdm login in screen, I need to be able to login to a remote
SuSE system. An ssh login followed by 'export DISPLAY=...' is not
sufficient. I want the the window manager to refer to the remote
system. In other words, I want the local system to optionally serve as
an X-terminal.
The only documentation I've found on this is in the SuSE support
database ("Exporting the Graphical Output to a Remote Computer"), which
explains setting up the server side but not the client side. (It has
client side instructions for xdm but NOT for kdm.) kdm documenation
says nothing about this. There are some posts on the list that are
related but don't quite tell me what I need to know. (There is detailed
information about this for gdm and xdm, but I really don't want to
switch dm's if I can help it.)
I suspect this is actually quite simple. If anyone know how to do it,
please let me know.
Thanks,
bw
