I just downloaded the boot.iso from SuSE. I want to install via ftp, but it
doesn't work. I choose DHCP, no Proxy, anonymous login and try to start the
installing process, but after several minutes a message box telling me
"Failed to connecto to FTP Server" pops up.
I can see that the router assigns an IP to my computer, so DHCP & the
connection to the router should work.
I connect to the internet via a Netgear router + cable modem. I switched
off stateful package inspection and opened ports 20 + 21 for my computer,
but it did not help.
What can I do to solve this problem?
I tried to connect to the internet without the router, but I'd have to
change my network card's MAC. AFAIK, ifconfig can do that, but how may I
start ifconfig?
Cheers, Michael
