I've got a bit of a headache with a Gigabyte GA-7VM400M mainboard's
Realtek 8139 LAN interface.
The same problem occurs when I plug in some other 8139-based NICs.
The interface seems to "start" using the 8139too kernel module, but
it doesn't respond to DHCP.
Occasionally, when I attempt to boot off the network using the
onboard ROM and 8139D-based PCI NIC, it'll boot LTSP OK, so there's
not a problem with the hardware itself.
Other times, the network boot stalls after setting the interface to
half-duplex after an "auto-negotiated partner ability 0000"
Has anybody encountered the same problem?
