lol
you guys couldn't have posted this yesterday could ya? I just got a wild
hair up my *** yesterday and attempted to upgrade to 3.2 well all was
going well until the last RPM that I tried to load. I think the
kdebase3.rpm when I clicked on this file konqueoror seemed to have
forgotten how to start YOU. I didn't panick at first I started a konsole
and tried to install the rpm that way. But it didn't like the dependency
error with the kdebase3-suse 3.1.0-48 I believe it was, that was already
installed. So I tried to get ride of the conflicting files. And i'm sure
most of you that know anything about Linux are lyaoam because I killed KDE.
Well that was a good way to just reinstall everything. I didn't like my
background to begin with :) So I'm back to 3.1 again. I'm not doing
anything tonight maybe i'll try it again with these instructions :)
I can pretty much follow all of this down to were you said login from the
terminal and startx. Are you talking about as root of just user? Also if
I'm not in KDE I don't really know all the commands to get to like my CD
rom and such. So if I need to pull a file off CD rom how would I do this
from a terminal? Ok that's it for now, count down till system "upgrade" 2
hours. If I have any luck will let ya know.
