Hi,
I am replacing Mandrake with SuSE on four computers (all dual boot w/w2k).
My method has been to first remove lilo then delete the mdk partition and
install SuSE. This has worked on all but one laptop.
Using "/sbin/lilo -u" fails to remove lilo. I get this error: "Fatal:
Timestamp in boot sector of /dev/hda differs from date of /boot/boot.0300".
I don't have a DOS boot disk with fdisk so I can't do "fdisk /mbr".
Will SuSE take care of and overwrite the mbr with grub when I install it?
I want the linux boot loader removed before I install SuSE in case the
install fails I won't have a problem loading w2k.

TIA
ollie
