|Well I hit the f2 and watched the log. Everything on my compaq laption
|seems to load ok. Till it comes down to login prompt. Before I could
|anything the screen suddenly goes blank. I tried changing the
|resolution and that didn't seem to help.

Probably the screen resolution set too high. Isn't there a failsafe mode
from the boot prompt.
