Hello,

I am attempting to install an 802.11b Linksys Wireless PCMCIA card in my
laptop. Whenever I insert it, the system hangs. If I insert it with power
off and I boot the laptop, it will hang when Linux attempts to start the
PCMCIA services. I changed the mode to 'external' instead of 'kernel' and
it no longer seems to hang. However, when I insert the card, the front-end
program 'cardinfo' says it is an unsupported card. My regular Linksys
WIRED ethernet PCMCIA card works fine though and it is recognized. Has
anyone ever seen this issue before, and what is the correct coarse of
action?
