Wait until SuSE 9.1, or 10, or whatever it is for full support for SATA in
the 2.6.x kernel. It should definitely support the ICH5 SATA, but I doubt
the ICH5R software RAID. Via VT6410 support might be there as well. That
should fill your bill.
