Your could navigate to where you stored the files using Konqueror, chances
are you'll get an option to install the rpm package with YaST. Some
caveats, the order in which you install the packages is important, first is
qt, then arts, then kdelibs3 then kdebase3. You may find you need to
install another package or two before you get to kdebase3. There is an
article in the February Linux Magazine that includes some tips on upgrading
KDE. It's worth a read. It does warn about trying to upgrade KDE from
within KDE. When I upgraded I booted in 'safe' mode which is to say the
command line mode which bypassed starting xwindow. I then used the rpm
command especially the --test option to see if the package I was test
installing needed something else first. I should also warn you that I too
am a newbie but one too stupid not to boldy go where I have limited
knowledge of what I'm doing. And, I've hosed my installation on more than
one occassion.
