I have thought to check the Powersupply. I specified 350 W but the bill says
300W. I'm going to have look at that right now.
As to getting W98 on it, yes but there was some fussing about and i note
that it likes to hang up randomly. I installed Half life for kicks and had
it lock up during the intro cut-scene.
I spent nearly 5 hours last night trying to install Suse, I attempted the
DVD version first and as soon as it loaded the kernel YAST could not read
the DVD anymore. The CD installs were constant hit and miss affairs. Some
attempts would get 70% into and died in a flurry of copy/read and MD5
errors and others would croak at 2%.
I tried with ACPI disabled, safe settings, BIOS setting reduced to bare
minimums, etc.
