Hi,
i have a "little" problem with my SoftRaid-5.
During bootup i have several errormessages:
1. No device of the raidsystem (hda, hdb, hdc, hdd, hdf, hdg) is started.
All devices get the busy-flag set.
2. The swap is deactivated...obviously because the swap is splittet on hda,
hdb etc.
3. The ReiserFS on the md0 is not checked correct...obviously because the
devices are not activated.
Even if i boot up with my recovery-CD (SuSE 9.0), the devices are still
"busy".
All devices are connected to the system by two Promise Controller (ATA100,
no Raid): hda, hdb, hdc, hdd first controller; hde (boot-HD), hdf, hdg, hdh
(CD-ROM)
How did i get there:
On Saturday I tryed to copy about 10G of data onto the raidsystem by samba.
During copying i got the errormessage, that the device is full. As i
controlled this by ssh (root) i saw that still 40GB were free. Surprised
about this i rebooted the system with init 6. Unforunatly this was the last
moment my raidsystem was "active".
So my questions:
1. Where does SuSE8.1 store its information about the softraidsystem? /etc
raidtab does not exist. So raidstart/raidstop do not work (i tried this!)
2. How can i initgrate my missing devices in a running recovery-system? (e.g
SuSE9.0 or SuSE 8.1)
I hope someone can help me,
Christian
