Yeah, both the wired interface and the wireless are Broadcom.

Managed and to an AP. I also use the AP with both an Actiontec and
ASUS wireless pcmcia cards (under Windows alas), and they have no
issues. The laptop's wireless NIC itself works fine under XP. The AP
is attached to the LAN and is not directly connected externally.

DHCP from the router. It's getting the address, mask, gateway and DNS
servers fine.

As to whether or not DNS is funtioning correctly.... The same
internal DNS server serves my whole wired and wired network. This
includes 6 wired and two wireless boxes.

As to the laptop itself, when I make a call, via ping, browser or
whatever, to resolve a host address, I can see the query hit the DNS
server and see the reply. The laptop resolves the address fine, it
just pukes on getting out the gateway.

Network cable.
