hmm i seem to remember having the install problem a few times when I
first started using suse. Its all a bit hazy but I seem to remember some
discusion at the time about this sometimes happening if you install from
suse's ftp site (dont think i am making this up!). Since I changed to
using another mirror this prob has never reoccurred.

I use ftp.mirror.le.ac.uk - seems to be much faster than suse ftp as well.
