I suspect its related to the same issue I posted about now, but with USB
memory. In my case there a process (a "konqueror --silent" process) that's
hogging the connection so it won't detect the new CF card until I kill it.
One way:
Simply use find the pid number for "konqueror --silent" process? and kill
it. ksysguard lets you do do from the gui.
After that just plug in the new CF card and I guess that it will find it..
You may want to make sure that Suse Plugger is running: the little PCI card
icon next to the clock. (Hardware detection, and drops icons on your
desktop when new hardware is found.) Anoher tip, be very patient -- it
doesn't seem to want to do this stuff quickly. At least thats my
observation.
