I use SUSE 9.0, it is a dual boot system with XP Pro. It has been
working fine for a few months. Over the last few weeks sporadically the
system wont boot.
I tried fixing the MBR on the windows drive by using FIXMBR and of
course windows will boot not Linux. Then I went to playing with the MBR
on the SUSE drive. THis was scary because I am a Linux newbie. I found
that if I boot from the Linux CD and go to the boot section in Yast I
can choose the start from scratch option and then copy MBR from disk.
That works but not all the time.
I have been working on getting my Linux system going for a while and it
is a slow process. Are there any suggestions on what may be wrong.
Please go easy, I am not a big techie and am a Linux newbie.
Charlie
