Why did you carry on after it was obvious the driver did not compile/install
fully?
Why did you reboot?
Did you start sax and reconfigure your graphics before you rebooted?
boot Suse and at the very first boot screen ( that has the long pause, with
the choice of o/s`s and the countdown indicator ) type on the keyboard
"init 3" without the quotes, when Suse boots it will be to the command
line, log on as root, enter the root password and type "sax2" this will
start sax for you to configure your graphics and carry on from there.
I did warn you that you should not reboot until you had configured the
graphics, and also I did point out that there were newer drivers on the
Intel site that are in an easy to install rpm.

Ps. fix that bl**dy newsreader as well please.
