How can I do this (start Yast), if I can't get past the
login/password? I tried 'startx', but that's when I got the error
message. If I could get to desktop I could execute Yast. But I am

Oh no no no. I downloaded the 82845 driver from Intel site and that
is what I put on - not the one from driverguide. You told me not to
so I didn't.
