Have just downloaded and installed 9.0 - my 1st linux, it looks great.

As it so happens, I used a PC which had XP on it, and had expected the
HD to be wiped mercilessly for a clean suse install. But no! Bless! The
install seemed to create new partitions for Linux as far as I could see,
leaving the XP and original data in place. at least, that is what it
looked like.

Suse runs nicely.

I do not really want to retain the original XP and data, but it is not
urgent. However, I do not seem able to get to view the complete HD, with
all partitions shown (not logged in as root at present).

1) how do I get to view the HD and all partitions?
2) how do I view or verify the HD size etc (detail
parameters/properties)?
3) I would prefer to get rid of the original XP and data which was pre-
existing. Is this possible without 3rd party sw, (any free sw?) and if
not what is my most elegant course of action without starting completely
again, format HD and reinstall (prefer not to....)
