Mozilla 1.6 slow resolving sites

Hello

I'm using Suse 9.0, with KDE3.2.1. I have Mozilla 1.6 installed. I'm
having awful problems browsing lately. I have 3 XP machines and the one
Linux machine all connected through a Linksys router to the cable modem.
The problem is not the router or the cable connection itself, as the
problem only occurs in the Linux box.

Browsing is sometimes soooo slow. I click a link, the hourglass comes on,
and I wait, and I wait and at the bottom, it says resolving host this or
resolving host that, and sometimes, it never loads, and I have to re-click
the link.

The network connection seems fine. I use the Linux machine as a file
server, and the XP clients bring up the shares quickly, and files load
quickly.

I have Ximian Desktop 2 installed, which wants me to downgrade to Mozilla
1.4 whenever I run red-carpet, but I have not. I don't know if this is
causing a problem.

Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks

Harry
