I'm very new to linux and am looking forward to trying out SUSE so
that I can get off of Windows. I'm downloded the 9.1 live cd but I'm
not sure what to do when prompted for an ID and password. I've tried
hitting return several times but that doesn't work. I get a command
line when I enter "root" as the ID but I don't know what to do after
that to get the desktop up. I've searched the web for an answer to
this question, but I haven't been able to find one.

Thanks in advance for your help.
