I suppose this depends on the laptop. E.g. SuSE automatically set up
everything on my Zepto laptop whereas I had USB and modem problems with
Knoppix (and Mandrake).
That said, I have no doubt that it could be the other way around for other
laptops. I think you have to test a distro before you know for sure, which
is of course not an ideal situation.
