You've been in the "biz" for 20 years and having essentially one hardware
config problem and you're ready to abandon it without attempting to get
help? Mainframes aren't the same as desktop
workstations - the world of configuration on a turnkey system is a tad
different then intel with the myriad of hardware possibilities. Windows,
OSX and other OS's have the same problems...you just need a little
assistance, which this group and myriad other places can offer. It's
hardly a "general comment" - you have one specific problem you need a
solution for!
Sorry if this seems a bit flame-ish, but your comments don't appear to go
hand-in-hand with your experience.
