To to make sure.. Is there a floppy in the drive?
You may have to mount it manually. To mound it open
a console su to root. You should already have a
dir in /mnt called floppy. If if not create one:
mkdir floppy
next type this:
mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy/
Just make sure there is a floppy in the drive when you
mount it. You can now create a shortcut to this device,
or just use your browser to get to it: file:/mnt/floppy/
or just /mnt/floppy
Same goes for your HDD. If you are trying to access a
windows partition or HDD then this will work also. But
if you are just trying to get to your Linux HDD just
use the browser again, or use the console.
It's best to read: man mount :)
