When my m/b failed, some months back, I had to download new drivers for
the mainboard and the onboard lan as the ones supplied with the mainboard
resulted in multiple crashes. This was of course on my windows setup.
Conversly, on suse 8.2 a kernel update was all that was required. So
relatively speaking, a couple of minor problems on a linux box is no
problem.
