I agree Jeff, but a lot of the diss has come from trolls, I started to read
one guys dribble, said he had been using 9.1 for a month, well I pre
ordered and have had 2 weeks to get acquainted. The only problems I have
found are, now let me see, hang on I am sure there are problems the trolls
keep telling me there are, hang on I'll make a coffee and come back to it.
[10 mins latter] No still not come to me, well my printer did not work, but
it wasn't plugged in, but then if Linux was any good it would have put the
plug in for me, yep its crap it can't put a plug in. Yes I know what it was
I had a email with a strange attachment I couldn't read, I managed to use a
editor and only found odd reverence to MS registry setting, strange I
couldn't open it, yep this linux must be crap the trolls told me so.
I had to do some admin work on our MS window boxes at work today, this
included installing and updating our ERP software, I love doing this kind
of work it gives you time to contemplate how the universe works or were
belly button fluff comes from and how much is produced world wide, yes the
rebooting of machines has a certain therapeutic quality you don't get with
a OS that you install use and then worry why in a month or two months it
still runs, you know systems fall over, fall over dammit! your not a proper
OS if you don't fall over, yep linux is crap, if it was a proper grown up
system it would keep me busy teaching me its inner secrets, no I tried
linux it only allows me to keep working, no distractions, I need the
insercurity I want to live on the edge, I work better under pressure, I
want that certainty that if a jobs important the thrill of beating the
system, you know what I mean. Linux has to be crap, its just to easy, did
you know it does not have a BSOD, how good is that.
Jem..
