Hi
I got my brand new commercial copy of SuSE 9.1 pro on Friday. Nice green
box containing two manuals, 5 CDs and 2 DVDs.
I haven't had this much fun since I got ..... well SuSE 9. I had moved
over from RedHat 9 when SuSE 9 came out.
My only grip to date is that I'm not happy with what they did with
Gnome. There are two menu structures, one is the default Gnome one off
the "Menu Panel that sits on the top of the screen, and then off that is
a "SuSE Menu" so things are a bit untidy. I was hopping for a greater
integration of Ximian as Gnome is my desktop of choice, always has been.
The install recognised my Compaq Evo N1050v and found all the hardware.
I had to override the monitor settings as it wanted to run X at 800x600.
Regards
Brenton
